by Nurin BananaI was sitting by the cashier place, feeling really bored. Now it’s the time where the store is completely empty. I work as a cashier at a local grocery shop to save up for college funds.“ Sierra, you could go off early now. “ My boss, Mrs. Jones said. “ I could close up for you.”
“Thanks, Mrs. Jones.” I took my car keys and drove to Starbucks to get some beverage for my boyfriend, Keith since I’m stopping by his place early.
“ Can I have a Caramel Frappuccino and a Chocolate Frappuccino, please? “ I told the cashier. I paid and my eye caught a couple making out on the sofa. ’Ugh, get a room.’ I thought.
Weirdly, the guy has the same exact tattoo as Keith. I check again. Same place too – around his wrist. He was pushing the girl for more. Then it shot me, it can’t be Keith. It can’t be him, he wouldn’t do that to me.
People around me keep on telling me that Keith was cheating on me again, but I keep on telling myself it isn’t true.
I guess I was wrong.
I dialed up his number to confirm if it is him, “Hello?” he answered without looking at the caller ID.
“Hey, nice make out scene you have there.” I hung up, forcing him to look back with his ‘Oh Crap, I’m dead’ face.
I look at the promise ring and then him. I took all the courage I have, and threw the ring at him but hit the chick’s face.
She glared at me as I smirked and walk out. Being a slow walker I am, he managed to catch up with me.
“ Eira, Eira! I can explain! “ he begged.
I glared at him, “DO NOT EVER CALL ME EIRA, only friends call me that. Not some jackass who cheated on me.” I spat. “And explain what? That I mess your hot steamy make out scene with that chick?!?!”
“No-I-She kissed” he started, but I cut him off. “You could push her off! But you didn’t. It takes two to kiss.”
“I’m freaking sor-“I cut him off again. “You’re not sorry! If you are, you wouldn’t do this to me for the second time! You should think of me before you suck face with that chick.”
I saw my car and quickly make a run for it, but Keith stop the door before I could go in the car.
“How many times , I have to tell you. SHE FREAKING KISSED ME!” he said, I could tell his lying.
“But YOU COULD PUSH HER OFF!” I shouted at him, not caring who’s watching. “Do you know, I waited for 5 freaking minutes to see if it’s true!”
“I was caught up!” He said, releasing his hands. I took the chance and got in the car.
I lowered the window shield, “You should’ve said no.” with that I drift off.
You should've said no, you should've gone home
You should've thought twice before you let it all go
You should've know that word, bout what you did with her
Would get back to me...
And I should've been there, in the back of your mind
I shouldn't be asking myself why
You shouldn't be begging for forgiveness at my feet...
You should've said no, baby and you might still have me
